We've been shopping for a nice claw foot tub but were a bit taken aback by the high prices. Even acrylic versions were high and of course, reviews left a lot to be desired. This exact same tub is/was available at Home Depot for several hundred dollars more plus another $150 in shipping making the Amazon deal quite the bargain...in fact, it saved nearly $500 and arrived at least a week earlier than projected by Home Depot!
Delivery was via freight direct from Amazon. It arrived crated in a rather thin feeling wooden box attached to a pallet. It's BIG and it's heavy so be prepared! The tub itself is quite attractive; nice sized with an authentic look of yesteryear without the age old grunge.
The bottom of the tub has a "no slip" surface - not much of one but sufficient to assist. The finish feels decent although only time will tell how well it wears in the long run. This is cast iron with a full porcelain finish. Made in China.
All in all, exceptionally...
